Dates for CILT Africa Forum 2021 Announced

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s (CILT) Africa Forum will take place from 3 to 5 March 2021 at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. The 2020 event was postponed earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The CILT Africa Forum is a major continental event providing a platform for governments, corporate organisations, individuals and students to share, learn, and promote professional and business interests. The theme for the CILT Africa Forum 2021 is “Sustainable Implementation of the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement: The Role of Logistics, Transport and Industry”.

The CILT Africa Forum is an annual event which brings together member countries throughout Africa to network and discuss issues pertinent to supply chain, logistics and transport. Industry technocrats and policy experts bring their ideas to this powerful platform for the development and optimisation of the logistics and transport sectors in Africa.

Topics on the Agenda include:

  • Overview of Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)
  • The Critical Role of African Ports in the Realisation of AfCFTA
  • Borderlessness in the Advent of AfCFTA: The Way Forward

The programme also includes a number of interactive panel discussions:

  • Governance and Leadership: The Role of Transport and Logistics in the Sustainable Implementation of AfCFTA
  • Technology and Telecommunication: The Role of ICT in Enhancing Logistics and Transport Efficiency and Optimisation

The CILT International Business Forum will also be launched at the Forum. This a new platform to promote cross-border business exchanges and develop international business opportunities between our members. The International Business Forum will offer opportunities to meet with relevant potential partners during the conference.
